My lovebird's mate passed away. Why is he aggressive and stressed now?

I had two love birds, rose birds to be exact, i’ve had them for a long time, and since the day i bought them they were together, they always feed eachother, and when she put some eggs he was there to hold her, i love them. Unfortunately, today a cat jumped on my sweet little girl and it didn’t hesitate to swallow my little one in one mouthful .. I noticed that the little boy is more aggressive now, I cannot even touch him .. I’m more concerned about His mental health now, will he be okay?

Thanks for reaching out about your birds. Well birds are fairly adaptive but are stressed by changed in routine. Monitor water and food intake. If concerned, a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.
