Pink sore on my dog's hind leg, no pain or discharge. What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 45 lbs

Luna's hind leg has this pink sore. Although, there isn't any bleeding or pus discharge. It causes her no pain or discomfort. What could this be?

This looks like a localized allergic reaction. I suggest you apply some topical hydrocortisone cream to the area 2-3 times per day. If after 5 days it does not look better then I suggest you get Luna to your vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
