Why is my cat lethargic with a painful, growing lump on her jaw?

4yr old cat has large and growing firm lump on right edge of jaw. Appears to cause pain when touched. She has also been more distant and lethargic. What can cause this? What should be done? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 10 months old | 4 lbs
