Dog attacked by cat, now crying and won't jump. Is he injured?

Earlier today, my 8 yr old shitzu mix got too close to a mama cat and her kittens. She jumped on him and he ran back in the house crying. He seemed fine but as the day has gone on he is walking/pacing around the house, holding his head down and cries if we try to pick him up. Normally, he jumps on the couch and bed but won't even try now.

It could be that he was hurt by this mama cat. Queens can be very protective over her kittens. Rest him tonight, and if he's still acting this way in the morning, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
