What causes dark skin between my chihuahua's legs? Is it serious?

Sometimes darkening skin can be normal aging. Sometimes it can indicate inflammation or irritation. Pay close attention to if he seems to be licking more than normal or rubbing his belly on the ground. If so, it’s likely pathological.
