I have a long haired chihuahua he is one year old. Just recently we noticed his skin between his legs is getting dark. Was wondering what this was caused by

Sometimes darkening skin can be normal aging. Sometimes it can indicate inflammation or irritation. Pay close attention to if he seems to be licking more than normal or rubbing his belly on the ground. If so, it’s likely pathological.
