My new dog has matted hair & no shots. What shots, grooming, & cost?

A friend who is sick gave me her dog. It's a year old, she has never had shots her hair is a little maddet. She's a mixed poodle/ shihtuz so what shots do you recommend that she have and will the be able to cut the maddet hair off and if you could tell me how much do that cost. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 45 lbs

Hello. At the very least, Egypt will need to have a rabies vaccination 24-48 hours before allowed in for grooming. Since she is still young, I would also recommend she receive a distemper combination vaccination & be vaccinated against Bordatella, also known as kennel cough. Grooming costs vary from place to place, so it is best to call wherever you decide you want to have her groomed to discuss all options & services available.
