Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | unspayed | 18 days old
So "hope" is a 18 days old kitten who was born premature. I have been keeping a close eye on her/him (not sure yet) and making sure she was growing. Thought it had been very slow compared to the other kittens but he/she was growing. But today i got worried when i saw that my cat has separated hope from her other kittens. Why would that happen? Should take hope to a vet?

Mother cats will commonly abandoned kittens who are sick or have congenital abnormalities. I recommend to have Hope examined by the veterinarian to check for any obvious abnormalities. This would be the most proactive approach. You may need to bottle feed Hope and take over the role as her mother. You can find many great articles on the Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach website. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
