Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm sorry to hear that Bibbles has wet tail, or urine scalding. Urine scalding is very serious and treatment must be initiated by your veterinarian. Doing nothing is not an option, nor is simply repeatedly washing the rabbit as this will make it very sore and distressed and will not solve the problem. It will be important for your veterinarian to find out the cause of the problem and take steps to resolve it rather than just try and treat the symptoms. Some underlying causes of urine scalding include obesity, arthritis, urinary tract infection, even crystals in the bladder/urine. Your vet may prescribe antibiotics to help treat Nibbles. I hope this is helpful!
