Pet's info: Fish | Betta | Female | unspayed
My female betta was sucked into my filter system. She was full of eggs when it happened. I found her not long after it happened(was cleaning the tank). When i got her out it looks like her egg sack has come out of her body. I've moved her into another tank alone. Is this something that will just fix its self?

Bettas don't have egg sacs. They spawn individual eggs. She may have a prolapse of some sort or it could be stringy stool you are seeing. Without an image ornexam, it is difficult to say for sure what is happening. Maintain pristine water quality via filtration and regular partial water changes. Maintain adequate water temp as well. Bettas do best between 78 F and 80 F. Recovery may be possible, but a severe prolapse may lead to a deadly infection. Consider a broad spectrum antibiotic. You can find one in the aquarium section of the local Petco. Follow label directions carefully and remove the carbon filter insert during treatment if indicated. Only time will tell if she will recover and survive.
