My young puppy ate lithium grease and is vomiting. What to do?

My 10 week old puppy ate some lithium grease about 4 hrs ago and has now thrown up about 5 times in the last hour. What can I do for here?

Luckily, he would need to eat an incredibly large amount of lithium grease to reach toxic doses. The vomiting is to be expected. Since he is so young, consider having him seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. The reason being vomiting can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances which are serious, but can be more serious in puppies. Your vet may dispense or administer medication to control vomiting. A bland diet can be fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian include lethargy, loss of appetite, abdominal pain or persistent vomiting/diarrhea.
