My dog is coughing blood and has a heart mass. What's wrong?

My dog Mason has been very sick for the past couple of month. Hacking and gagging and coughing really bad. He coughed up blood so I took him to 2 different veterinary hospitals and both couldn't tell me what was wrong, one prescribed him antibiotics and cough medicine but it hasn't helped or improved his condition. They found a mass near his heart but they couldn't provide any more information. I need help in understanding what my dog is going through and how to help him, please. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 58 lbs

Since it sounds like you've been to two different primary vets and still don't have the answers you need regarding Mason's symptoms, I recommend requesting a referral to an internal medicine specialist. This would be a vet who completed a 1 year internship followed by a 3 year specialty residency to become board certified.
