Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Fox Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 11 days old | 17.6 lbs

How many rabies infections does a dog need? My puppy is 4 months and 11days today. He has had his 3 injections each month so far and with his 3 infection, he also received a Rabies infection? Is it necessary for another rabies infection this month?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Wagter. Typically puppies only receive one rabies vaccination. This is given around 16 weeks of age. It is usually valid for one year when the vaccine is then repeated. Some of this can depend on local laws, but this is the most common scenario. I hope this information helps!
