Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | 8 years and 2 months old | 64 lbs
My dog is in very critical condition, her platelets have gone below 90000 and she is urinating blood too. We don't have a good animal hospital in our city . What should I do? Can you please help me ?

I'm so sorry to hear Ellie isn't doing well! I wish I could tell you something simple to help, but the fact is Ellie really needs to be cared for by a vet. Low platelets can sometimes be an artifact if the blood sample had started to clot in the tube....but if she is urinating blood then I'm afraid there's something bigger going on; she could have an autoimmune condition, she could have a bleeding disorder, she could have gotten into an anticoagulant poison. The best case scenario would be if the low platelets is artifact and she has a primary urinary problem such as a urinary tract infection. But, If you want to help her, you need to get her to a vet, even if that means taking her to another nearby city where a good vet is available. Good luck! All the best to you and Ellie!
