Hi. I have a Boarder Collie. He has septic wounds on his chest and neck, and every time I manage to get it under control, one or two more start to develop. what can be the cause.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I would recommend a veterinary visit for Milo to determine the cause of the wounds and/or culture the area. Milo may need systemic antibiotics, topical medication or a combination. If he has been on antibiotics, it may be a resistant organism that needs different medication. Or in some cases skin lesions can be causes by cancer, fungal organisms or autoimmune disorders and will not be responsive to antibiotic therapy. I hopw Milo is better soon.
