My French Bulldog has a red spot on his inner thigh. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 39 lbs

Hello, we just spotted a red lesion on my dog’s inner left thigh today. He doesn’t seem to be noticing the lesson, no licking, or scratching. He is a 2.5 year old French Bulldog, with a history of dermatitis/skin allergies. Any idea of what it could be? Should we have this looked at in person?

That looks like a very inflamed ulcer or a wound. I do recommend to have that examined by the veterinarian. Kona will likely get a medicated ointment to decrease the inflammation. I hope it clears up quickly and please feel free to post any additional questions.
