My dog collapsed suddenly and died. What could have caused it?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Male | 8 years and 11 months old | 105 lbs

Hello, I am writing you because i have a question a lot of vets can't answer... I live in Spain and we had a dog who passed away in august... and still to this day we don't know what made him ill. He collapsed on the floor and couldn't move anymore but he still responded to us calling him by moving his tail and by lifting his head but he just couldn't stand up, doctors operated him as they thought his organs were falling out and he passed away the day after this was all in three days. he was 7.

First off, I'm so very sorry that you lost DJ suddenly. Please accept my condolences for your loss. Unfortunately without seeing him in person, I cannot say what caused him to pass away. It could be he got into something toxic, he could have had heart disease, or it could be he had cancer causing him to pass away. I wish I could give you a definitive answer, and I feel badly that I cannot. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
