What is this long, hard growth on my kitten's toe? Is it serious?

Hi. My kitten has something on her toe, at first it was just a small thing and in maybe 3-4 months time it grew long. I really want to know what it is please if you can help me. Shes not walking funny or anything, but she doesnt want us to touch it.

This could be hyperkeratosis, which is thickening of the skin. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain, so I recommend having it checked out by a vet.
