Hello! I'd like to know if excessive showers damage some how a cat skin? I used to shower my cat every 2 or 3 month but lately I've found myself showering him every 7 or 8 times q months, The raison? he got a weird new habit of wallow in mud or old car oil everytime he goes out!... I shower him without a problem but I'm thinking about his skin health now and thinking if I should let him just at home but I feel he'll get frustrated in the longterm... Thanks in avances

Plory should be fine being bathed that frequently. Make sure you are using a pet shampoo. An oatmeal type shampoo tends to be more moisturizing and less likely to dry out the skin. Watch for any evidence of excessively dry skin. Definitely keeping him indoors would prevent him from getting so dirty but it is a balancing act between happiness and cleanliness! I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Cats definitely do not require regular bathing as cats do an excellent job of grooming themselves. If his cat is not grooming itself, there is most likely some sort of health issue causing this. this would extremely unusual for a little kitten. If he dose decide to bathe his kitty regularly, he has the potential of drying out the skin depending on how often he does this. He also will have to make sure he chooses an appropriate shampoo for dogs / cats. I have owned three cats for the last six years and have never bathed a single one of them once.
