Why are my dog's eyes swollen and watery after eating spicy food?

My little baby dog his eyes are swollen and watery and I’m not sure what I can do. There is no discharge but he has an occasional eye boogers how can I help him? My boyfriend had given him chips and salsa do you think it is the spice. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 5 months old | 16 lbs

Poor guy. It may be a reaction to the spice. He is having a bit of an allergic reaction here that requires some anti-histamines and possibly even a steroid injection. I would recommend contacting your vet in the morning or an ER vet tonight if he has any swelling that is occurring around his neck area. As long as his airway is ok, then a vet visit in the morning should be ok. I hope that your poor fur baby feels better soon! Best wishes and take care.
