My puppy vomited and is lethargic after Trifexis. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Female | spayed | 9 months and 15 days old | 26 lbs

My miniature golden doodle (9 months old) had a dosenof Trifexis today. 2 hours later she vomited, and is now very lethargic. Is there anything I can do to help her?

Poor Ember! Vomiting and lethargy are both common side effects of Trifexis, and do not usually indicate any kind of serious problem. But, you could certainly opt to use a different flea and heartworm medication for her in the future to avoid this issue. For tonight, I would withhold food and leave her alone to rest since she doesn't feel well. If she's still acting noticeably lethargic tomorrow, or if she develops any other symptoms, then I would call your veterinarian or take her in for a check-up to make sure nothing else is wrong.
