Is it safe to give my dog human over-the-counter allergy meds?

My dog has a pollen allergy. I can't afford the expensive vet meds so I was wondering if it is true that I could give him human over the counter drugs for allergies? Pet's info: Dog | Shetland Sheepdog | Male | neutered | 8 years old | 60 lbs

Unfortunately I cannot advise doing that because I can't see Soleil in person and say it's safe. It is illegal for me to do. I would speak to his vet about it, and they can advise if it's safe or not, and can tell you the drug to give along with the dose. Best of luck.
