My stray dog won't get in the car. Can I safely take him home?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

There is an dog outside my shop whom I feed on regular basis and I thought to adopt him by putting him in car and taking him home but whenever I try to leash him up and try to put him in car he start agitating and shouting barking and never wants to come in car also he never walks further like there is a deadline beyond which he never pass so will it be safe to take him home forcefully? Can he adjust or he will die because I feel for him is this he feels happy in open what should I do

You are so lovely to want to take this dog home and adopt him! Yes, he will be fine if you take him home by placing him in the car yourself. He will adjust, and he will be happier living in a home where he will have proper shelter, food, water, and healthcare.
