my cat has a swollen paw and is acting a little off. I have young kids and am nervous letting him roam free while we sleep. we have a. appointment in the morning and he's I. his carrier right now. I'm nervous leaving him in so long since he's kinda freaking out. but I don't want to let him out and not be able to get him back in, if he gets more aggressive. how long can he stay I. the carrier?

Any way he can stay in a bathroom or small room instead? He will be contained but not be so stressed because you can put a litterbox, water, food, toys, and bedding in there. I would worry about a small carrier overnight because he could injure himself trying to get out. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
