My dog slipped, shaking, not eating or drinking. Should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Basset Hound | Male | 6 years and 4 months old | 68 lbs

Im sorry to bother you... but i need your advice. Flash, my basset hound, age 7, slipped yesterday and since then he had not eaten or drank and is not himself. He wont stop shaking either. Any advice? I'm worried about him.

Poor Flash! It sounds like he could be painful. He could have injured himself when he slipped. It could be his back as Bassets are prone to disc issues with their long backs. Another source of pain is also possible. It would be best to have him seen by a vet for a physical exam to see if a source of pain can be located. Especially as it does not seem to be improving. Your vet can also prescribe some pain medication if needed to help him feel better. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
