How soon can I hand-feed and bond with my new, shy guinea pigs?

I bought my two Guinea pigs rocket and Venus on Thursday and as I’m writing this it’s Saturday. I just want to know when is the right time I should start like touching them like by hand feeding. A week? Two? . I haven’t touched then at all but clean the poop off the cage which might have scared them. I don’t clean in where they are sleeping/hiding. Sometimes when I’m just sitting by the cage they’ll come out to eat but a movement of mine will scare them. Any advice would be incredible ! Thanks !

I would recommend starting to hand feed them treats now. I would allow them to come to you and just go slowly. Sometimes you have to give them a very yummy special treat that is only given to them by you. It can take time for them to warm up to you but the earlier you start the better. Hope that helps
