Why is my cat losing weight, not eating, and scooting his butt?

My cat isn't eating very well and is losing weight rapidly and he just wiped his butt on carpet which he never does, his poop was hard, we did just get him a harness took him out for a few minutes he ate grass. What do i do? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 8.5 lbs

I am afraid there is more going on with Joseph and I would recommend bringing him to a veterinarian. He may just be constipated but he can also have different diseases that will make him lose weight and decrease his appetite. When he scoots his butt on the ground it may be that his anal glands are full and I recommend having your veterinarian check them also.
