My puppy just vomited something strange. Could it be a worm or not?

That does not look like a normal intestinal worm. Intestinal worms are white or light yellow. I suspect this is something he ate. Wrap it up in a baggie and take it to be examined by your veterinarian. To be safe, have the store checked for worms since some rooms can be spread to humans.     I am sorry to hear about your dog. Based on your photo this doesn't look like any worms I have seen. It almost looks like fabric or stuffing that is in strips. If your dog continues to vomit, has decreased appetite or energy then I would recommend an examination by their veterinarian. You can always save the material the dog vomits and keep it in the fridge until your appointment for your vet to examine if you are uncertain.
