My cat has scabies. Is Ascabiol with benzyl benzoate safe to use?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello, My vet prescribed Ascabiol which contains benzyle Benzoate to use it in a cat with scabies. But a friend of mine said it's toxic in cats. Can I use it as adviced by my veterinarian or do I have to avoid it ? Thanks

I have never used Ascabiol so I am not sure about the toxicity but a safe and effective treatment for scabies is to apply Revolution every month. Talk to your vet about prescribing Revolution instead of the Ascabiol
