Is my Chihuahua's constant ear scratching a sign of infection?

My 3 yr old CHIHUAHUA is constantly scratching inside his ear for long periods of time, I can't see anything but it sounds squishy, it does not seem to have an odor , and he won't let us near them. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 15 lbs

Poor Major! Excessive scratching of one or both ears is a common sign of an ear infection. You will need prescription ear meds from your veterinarian in order to treat this problem, so I would recommend taking him in for an exam when you are able to.
