My Eskimo Spitz puppy isn't fluffy. Is this normal for her age?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Eskimo Dog | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 20 days old | 4.48 lbs

Why is my Eskimo Spitz not fluffy like others that I see? She eats blue wilderness food, and gets groomed regurarly. is there something that I can do to help her, or is this just a phase that she will have to go through? She just looks scrawny..

Hi there. I see that Mollie is just a puppy, only about 4 months old :) It takes 2-3 years for coated breeds like Eskimo Spitz's to develop their full adult coat - puppies and "teenagers" will look thin and not as puffy in comparison.
