My hamster has a movable lump and loose stool after amoxicillin.

I know a hamster lives a short life but he just developed a lump near his pouch and it's movable. It doesn't seem to hurt him when I move it. He is eating fine. My daughter on accident gave him 0.05ml of liquid amoxicillin and now he has loose stool. But he is eating

Thanks for reaching out about Norman. A mass could be an abscess or tumor and should be investigated by a veterinarian. Age is not an reason not the see a veterinarian. As per the amoxicillin, it is potentially toxic, and another reason to see a vet. Abnormal bacterial can overgrow causing diarrhea. Preventing dehydration is important, but also allowing bacteria to re-colonize the intestinal tract. Good luck.
