Is it safe for my dog to take metoclopramide and prednisone together?

my dog takes metoclopramide 10 mg 2x per day. Today the Dr. added prednisone 20 mg tab 3/4 for one x. Then 1/2 for the next remaining 3 tabs. This was done as the dog has difficulty walking due to inflammation of her spin. O.K to this use both meds? Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 6 years and 4 months old | 62 lbs

Metoclopramide is a medication that is used to promote motility of the GI tract and decrease acid reflux. Prednisone is a steroid medication that has anti-inflammatory properties among others. Prednisone can potentially cause many side effects, such as stomach upset. I would recommend monitoring Heather closely for any symptoms such as i appearance, vomiting, or dark stools.
