This presentation is likely to be caused by a mastitis, which is an inflammation/infection of the mammary glands quite common in post-lactating feline patients. A check up would be ideally required to confirm this clinical, suspicion and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.

Poor willow. It appears that she may have mastitis an infection of the mammary gland. She needs to see a vet asap as this is very painful and can become a systemic illness. I would continue to bottle feed kittens until mom gets assessed to see if she can still feed them or not. Make sure they are on KMR or a good quality kitten milk replacer

Hello. The mammary glands will not explode. Just let the kittens nurse and the un-used mammary glands will decrease without stimulation. You just have to check her daily (or twice daily) that there is no development of mastitis. Feel each gland and rub them. If you are feeling hot, or cold (very big concern if cold) then get her to a vet. Express the milk from each nipple, if it is anything but white (yellow, green, clear) then get her to a vet. Otherwise just leave her alone. Good luck with Chocolate.
