Why is my senior dog with asthma panting rapidly after medication?

My dog who is 10 yr old was diagnosed with allergy/asthma and was prescribed with ascoril ls, allercet m and azithral. However, azithral caused her to vomit, so was stopped. She is now panting while awake and when asleep respiratory rate is about 90. Plz help. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female

I'm sorry to hear about Mimi not feeling well. If she is panting that heavily and isn't somewhere where it is very warm, I would be concerned that this is a sign of pain or distress. It would be hard to tell if it is medication related or not, but it is a good idea to let the vet treating her know this is going on. They may want to further change her medication routine, or even have her come in for additional tests such as X-rays or bloodwork to rule out any additional issues that could be causing her stress.
