How to stop my dog from barking all night when she's put away?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Female | 1 year and 5 months old | 50.6 lbs

My bitch( goldador) 1 yr 4 n half months old, keeps barking as soon as all the family members go to bed at night, as soon as she barks we take her out for a walk assuming she needs to do pee but the moment she is tied up again she starts barking.

    This will all depend on what is causing the barking. If you feel like there is noise outside or something scaring Eli the most important part is to help her feel calm and relaxed. however if she is barking to inform you she has to go outside and us the restroom that does not want to be changed. I would recommend trying to exercise her before bedtime. This could include a walk or playing with her favorite toy. You can try some over the counter supplements that help with anxiety like composure too. If this does not help than I recommend trying to work with a trainer to decrease anxiety and stress. It could be that bella has realized if she barks she gets attention from you all. She is barking to get taken outside or even just attention through the night. I would recommend trying to crate train her. This will allow her an area that is safe and only hers. The crate can be a really positive place . You can start off by putting her in it for short intervals and rewarding her going in and coming out. it is important to make the crate a happy place. You could also try just moving her to another room so she is not sleeping with you all.

I see that Rhea is still very young, only about 6 months old. I'm also not sure from your description if she is barking because she needs to go out and potty, or because she is anxious and lonely in her kennel. If she is needing to potty this often at night, I would be concerned that she may have a medical problem such as a UTI causing this - in that case, it would be best to take her to the vet to have this checked. If she doesn't need to potty but is just restless and upset in her kennel, I would first make sure that her kennel is in your bedroom - right next to your bed, if possible. It's not natural for puppies to be all alone at night, so many pups will cry if they are isolated in a separate room from their owners. Normally, moving her so that she is nearby resolves the problem - you can talk softly to her to reassure her if she wakes up and gets scared during the night.

Why won't he go to bed!!! He keeps barking we have let him out plenty of times and he just sits their but he continues to bark! What do I do??
Relentless barking is typically a sign of anxiety. The anxiety is probably due to one a few different causes. If Pilot is typically used to being with you during the daytime and is forced to be separated at night this maybe a root cause of the anxiety. Another possibility is that Pilot is simply not being provided with an area in which he feels comfortable to rest. If you haven't already, I would recommend crate training him. There are tons of articles and YouTube videos on how to properly do this, the dos and don't of the training, and the size of crate you might need. Once the crate becomes Pilot's "den", it will be a comfortable place for him to stay. I think this is a good place to start. You also have to remain strong in terms of ignoring the barking. I realize it is extremely loud and irritating, but EVENTUALLY Pilot will stop on his own and tire out. If you give in to him, you are only shooting yourself and him in the foot unfortunately. If she is in a crate, cover the crate with a sheet. You can also leave a night light on as well as a radio tuned to a talk radio station. These items may provide "company" for Lily. Make sure she has had her walk to eliminate before bedtime.

This sounds like something upset Luna Sunday and now she is still worried. This can become a habit so I like to stop this behavior right away. Many dogs bark at night, mine especially when the moon is bright as they can see more things outside. I recommend putting her in a crate to sleep and ignoring her like you have been. Giving her a good walk or playtime before bed will help get her tired as well. If you have her in another room I would make sure it's dark, and you can play soft classical music so she doesn't hear noises in the house and outside. She's still a young dog so this should improve as she ages. When she's gone several weeks sleeping quietly in the crate then you can try letting her free at night. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Misha. Congratulations on welcoming her to your home! As far as night time routines, you may wish to consider a crate for her if you do not want her I your bed at night. You can try placing the crate in your room as some dogs are happier when they are near you. Others will find this frustrating and want to be out and in your bed. In this case, try leaving the crate downstairs. Make the crate a happy place for her wothbspecoal treats and toys. Never use it for punishment or time out. You can place her in there for short intervals during the day as well to help her become accustomed to it. It may be a tough transition as she will still protest a bit. I am sure she enjoys sleeping in your bed! If you are consistent with her, she should adapt. I hope this information helps!

It's common for young puppies to bark and cry if they are alone at night - more space is not likely to make any difference. I would recommend having Toby sleep in a crate right beside your bed at night. This way, you can talk to him or rest your hand on the crate to reassure him if he fusses.

Increase his activity during the day, if possible, to tire him out. Use a cover on his crate to block light. Let him out to use the bathroom just before bedtime. Try a pheromone product such as the Adaptil collar or DAP plug in diffuser. This may decrease any anxiety he may have at night.
