My chick injured its leg. Is my home care right, and what's next?

Good morning My chick was playing around today and then suddenly it was stuck in the door and injured it's leg .. I wasn't sure of what to do but I cleaned it up and put some betadine on it then I used a medical adhesive to cover it now I want to know if what I did was right and what else should I do Thanks for advance. Pet's info: Bird | Chicken | Female

Thanks for reaching out about Ab. If a superficial wound, your treatments might be sufficient. But is the injury is deeper (i.e. bone), a veterinary visit is needed. Monitor for mobility and appetite. If worsens, see a local vet. Good luck.
