Pet's info: Cat | American Longhair | Female
Cat's been constipated w/ anal gland issue. Vet gave probiotics & Lax'aire; said give all Baby'd eat. Been on it 7 days. Finally last 2 days, pooped twice per, but very small amts & very diarrhea. Vet also gave enema syringe on Thurs to do at home. Haven't done- scared, & IS pooping; what if not correct issue what if I hurt her? Today, clearly in more stress & pain than ever, licking at back legs, crying, shaking head & agitated. Should I/is it safe to give enema?

Poor Baby! If you are not comfortable giving the enema, I recommend to call your veterinarian and discuss your concerns. At this point, she may need more care than an enema. She may need fluids or a sedated enema. I also recommend to discuss a specific food made by Royal Canin called Fiber Response. It is formulated for cats with constipation and many cats will get relief within a few days. This diet baby needed lifelong. I hope Baby starts feeling better quickly and please feel free to post any additional questions.
