Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 8 years and 2 months old | 45 lbs
I noticed a tiny, hard, pimple-like bump under the first few layers of skin on my dog's outer ear flap, around 1mm in size and feels like a grain of salt. There is nothing at all visible on the surface of the skin and it can only be felt on the outer side of the ear flap, not on the inner side. I can move it around freely with the first few layers of skin. It feels like it could be squeezed out like a pimple (I wouldn't do that). Does this warrant a visit to the Vet or should I just monitor it?

Hi there. What you are noting on Olivia's ear is likely just a little pimple under the skin. Dogs can form these, especially in areas like an ear flap where the skin in thin. Usually these are nothing to worry about, unless they begin to grow or irritate the dog. I would just monitor for now and see what happens. It may even just go away. I hope that helps.
