Puppy fell and squeals when picked up. Is it an injury or behavioral?

My 8 week old (4 lb.) puppy fell earlier this week about 4 feet, onto her back. She squealed and was very frightened. I felt her whole body and moved her legs and she seemed ok. Since the fall, she sometimes squeals when picked up and has squealed a couple times randomly. She is eating and playing with her litter mate normally. Is it possible she just doesnt like to be picked up after the incident? Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd - miniature | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 26 days old | 4 lbs

Even though Stella didn't react when you were feeling her back and her legs she may have still had a soft tissue injury or bruising that is causing minor pain. If the behavior continues I'd recommend having her examined by your vet to make sure there is no injury to be concerned about.
