Can I give my cat leftover Clavaseptin for a cough if I can't afford a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 11 lbs

Is it safe to give my cat clavaseptin if he has a cough. He may also have worms but I cant afford to take him to the vet yet but I have Clavaseptin 62.5mg for cats its left over medication from my other cat. It's just wide spectrum antibiotic right?

I can't recommend doing this, it's illegal for me to do that without seeing Oscar in person first. I never recommend giving one animal another animal's medication. Plus, it may not be the correct treatment for his cough. He does have to see a vet, and if paying for a vet is an issue, I can put some links below to financial resources that may help.
