Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 1 month old | 48 lbs
Hello, My 5 year old American staffardshire terrier has a bloated abdomen, displaying symptoms such as: loss of appetite, reduced activity, and lack of bowel movement. I noticed how bloated her abdomen was today upon my arrival home, and my vet has already closed today. Would it be safe to wait till 830am tomorrow before seeing a vet? Or is this an emergency? Thank you in advance for your expert advice. -Jordan

Hi Jordan! I'm concerned about Roxy, and I see she isn't spayed. Her symptoms could be due to a pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus. This is fatal without treatment, so I would say yes, take her into an ER vet now. Best of luck.
