Is Purina Pro Plan dog food safe? Comparing top brands like Hill's.

Which is best? Wellness, Purina Pro, Hills. or Canidae? I know Purina Pro is recommended a lot on here but the amount of controversial ingredients listed is huge compared to Canidae or Wellness. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 10 years and 9 months old | 88 lbs

There really isn't controversy about Purina's ingredients. They are excellent. They have veterinary nutritionists on staff to make sure the food is good. Canada and Wellness do not have veterinary nutritionists on their staff. I would go for Purina ProPlan, but Hill's is equally as good (they also have veterinary nutritionists on staff).
