Why is my spayed female cat still spraying urine after surgery?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 6.61 lbs

I just had gizmo sprayed over a week ago. She was spraying before. Shes still spraying how can we get her to stop.

If you haven't seen your vet for this problem I would recommend making an appointment for Gizmo to rule out a medical problem. She could have a urinary tract infection or cystitis and checking a urine sample would be a good idea. If a medical problem has been completely ruled out then it's possible that this is a behavioral issue. It is not as common for female cats to urine mark but Gizmo will still have hormones for several weeks following the spay surgery so it could be a bit longer before you would see improvement if she is acting territorial.
