Why did my baby bunny die after jelly stool? Can I give antibiotics?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Chinchilla | Male

Two weeks old little bunny is normal in day and i observe that she had an clear jelly like stool and my rabbit open its eyes yesterday and start eating leaves.and suddenly she died.other bunny having this is problem.May i give an antibacterial syrup to the bunny.

I wouldnot recommend giving oral antibacterials/antibiotics to any rabbit wthout a clear diagnosis as it is likely to make things worse. Rabbits rely on good bacteria in the bowel for survival and antibiotics can trigger fatal diarrhoea. Unfortunately weaning is a very difficult time for rabbits as this good bacteria is not well developed until they start eating greens and it is a very delicate time. Probiotics and transfer of the soft stools from healthy mothers or other rabbits can increase survival around weaning, as can starting with hay rather than fresh greens
