I have a cat who I found in the wild about 2 months ago in the wild. He was neutered and I took him to the vet to get his shots & rabies vaccines. He’s really friendly, but it’s come to my attention that while he can walk, jump, and run, he slouches while walking and sitting/lying down and experiences lameness. He’s somewhat shy and has a really long neck, so I don’t know if maybe that’s why. He sort of goes limp when you position him on your lap & doesn’t move on his own. Should I be concerned?

He’s a good looking cat! The going limp on your lap is generally not abnormal. Some cats get very relaxed and some freeze if they are afraid. Reading the rest of his body language will tell you which it is. If you notice lameness, I recommend to record him walking or whenever it is that you notice he lameness and then set an appointment with his veterinarian. Cats can have chronic injuries, arthritis...etc. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
