Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Male | neutered
Hi there just wondering if I could get some quick advice as to what this is on my dogs paw. I was just stroking him, he lifted his paw up and i noticed a portion at the top of one of his pads is turning yellow and looking abit crusty. He does lick his paws from time to time but is otherwise healthy. Not sure as to what it could be. Other feet are fine just this front one. Thanks

Press on the area and see if it seems painful. Sometimes this pigment can be normal. It can also indicate unhealthy skin or an infection. If it seems painful, have him seen by a veterinarian. If he seems normal, you may try adding an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs to his diet. You can also purchase paw balm to apply to the skin for conditioning. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
