5-day-old kitten bloated, constipated. Should I dilute formula?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 5 days old | 0.2 lbs

My orphaned kitten about 5 days old hasn't pooped and is bloated. I read that I should dilute her formula and put a little oil in it. She pees and eats normally. She leaked a little dark yellow/orange poo but no full poops or anything.

I would dilute the formula with a little water, but I don't recommend adding oil. See if the diluted formula works, and if it doesn't, you will need to take Cali into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
