My neutered cat is still licking and mounting. Is this normal?

My 6-7 month old cat was just neutered about 2 weeks ago and since then has been licking himself a lot and getting frequent erections (i’m not sure if there’s a proper kitty term for that lol) but sometimes when it happens he will try to mount my leg, etc. Is something wrong? I thought these behaviors were supposed to decrease after a neutering. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 3 lbs

That is unusual. I recommend to have Severus see the veterinarian to get his bladder checked for any signs of infection or crystals in case this is causing a burning sensation. It’s possible this is coincidental to the neuter procedure. Since he can’t talk and tell you if something is wrong, it’s best to play it safe.
