My Great Pyrenees puppy has leg pain. Could it be panosteitis?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Great Pyrenees | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 3 days old | 21.3 lbs

Hi! I have just recently purchased a Great Pyrenees Puppy! He is very healthy but seems to be in slight pain and will not use his right back leg. I've done lots of research and everything points to Panosteitis. Can you help???

Yes, it could be panostetitis. I would make Duke an appointment with the vet. The vet can do x-rays to confirm panostetitis and can give him pain medication to help with it. I would take him into the vet first thing in the morning. Best of luck.
