Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 17 days old | 9 lbs
My cat has 2 weeks left of her pregnancy and I asked a vet when I should spay her after she had the kittens and he said when the kittens are 3 weeks old because she'll go into heat again while she's nursing so it would be best to spay her 3 weeks after she gives birth. I believe him but online it says to wait until the kittens are weaned and others even say 2 weeks after they're weaned would be safest because complications could happen if it's too soon. Is 3 weeks after birth too early to spay?

You can spay a cat while the kittens are nursing, the vet can avoid the mammary glands. The vet is right that Bella can go back into heat quickly, and you don't want more kittens. If your vet is comfortable doing this, and the kittens can start weaning after three weeks, I would trust your vet. I hope this helps!
